The use of Photography as medium has expanded exponentially in the last years but not necessarily our understanding of it: the way it affects our memory, our desires, our longing.
My approach began with a family album, but really piqued my interest when I had the possibility to make my own. Photographs have shaped my memories. They are not always trustful, but neither it´s memory itself. We go after a recollection, looking for understanding or reaffirmation, but, as neurology has proved, we change that recollection just by calling it, just by the mention of it.
It sums all up as an editing problem.
There are many facets on my work, but always around the same concerns, the construction of the image, the photographic process, with a very special interest in how culture understands and uses images.
