“Life´s a bitch and then you die” 

Ongoing project titled as a common expression of acceptance of misfortune in life as a continuous struggle for survive.

“Life´s a bitch and then you die” explores the notion of stage (as simulation) through
straight photography and minimal photographic interventions, who intend make us question our perception of reality and confront us with a biological and existenctial fact; death and life, a complex and unbound relationship for every “form of life”, consciousness or not, everyone needs to deal with it.

Notes:

This work also addresses the notion of “form of live” as a philosophical concept, beyond biology, in the way that we understand the world as a society, the conventions that keeps the system going on (not working) in a continuum simulation.

This minimal photographic interventions involves the performative acts of; mounting a background, without modifying the elements or the subjects; illuminating (the scenes) with natural and artificial light; decontextualizing the subjects, subtracting elements (of the scene)

Disclosure:

Some scenes are part of unfortunate events but no animals were harmed during this project, and unfortunately depicts less violence and misfortune than day by day for them, life is harder.
